Vlad has been working in the financial services industry since 1994. He had the privilege of working in an insurance company, a major bank, a mutual funds company, and in a non-profit financial institution. This diversified career gave him a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in all four major areas of financial planning: lending, investing, risk management, and day-to-day banking.
After obtaining his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2005 and during his tenure with Scotiabank, Vlad focused his efforts on providing advisory and consulting services to the bank’s clients and financial advisors. He left the senior management role in the bank in 2011 to pursue and grow his own advisory practice. In 2014 Vlad joined the financial planning boutique firm Lazar-Wealth Succession Strategies.
In his practice Vlad focuses on comprehensive financial planning for families, estate planning, helping people with disabilities, and philanthropy.
He is an active member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
